Gina Reid is surrounded by people getting married or having babies. She’s under pressure to settle down but how can she do that when she doesn’t even know where she came from? Since the startling revelation that she was adopted, it’s felt like there is something missing. But fear has kept her from searching for her biological parents.

Now an overheard comment has propelled her into action. Can Gina find out who she truly is? Or will she discover that some secrets are best left undisturbed?

Grace Across the Miles – The Journey
I started writing fiction in 2013. You can read the fuller story to the publication of Grace in Strange Disguise (Book 1) here.
Originally I intended the first novel to be a stand-alone but towards the end of the editing process the editor shocked me by saying, “This first book in one and a half books.” I prayed about it and then chopped off the last one-third of the original novel. Some of the material from the original book was used in the final half of book 2 and three chapters were still used in book 3.
Book 2 naturally led to the story of book 4 and book 5 was a story I’d considered for book 2. Somewhere along the way, the idea for book 6 came about. It was fun to feature another country town (Tamworth, NSW) and to also venture across the Tasman to a town that I was very familiar with because my grandparents used to live there.
My normal routine is to plan the next book in August/September and finish the draft before Christmas but in June 2021, Sydney went into a lockdown in response to Covid. I started writing in July and finished the draft by mid-August.
Then I had time to do the audio recording for books 3-5 and two non-fiction books as well. The editing went much more smoothly than usual and I published book 6 in December.
A close friend in the U.K. who’d supported all my books was very ill and no longer able to read and so I did the audio recording immediately.

l just read your first book and was blown away by your ” storytelling” method of sharing the gospel. I have never heard it explained better in my 40 + years of being a Christian. would love to get my hands on paperback copies to hand out….
So glad you loved the book. There are plenty more to read.
Are you looking for paperback copies of the novels or the non-fiction, ‘Telling the Gospel Through Story’. If it is the non-fiction, you can request it at any bookstore. The novels depends if you’re in the US (Walmart; B and N, Amazon) or UK or Australia (Koorong, Wandering bookseller) …
#1 book was great.
Glad you enjoyed it. The others should be as good or better!
